This is the last day of the month, and I wanted to cover a few of the firsts that I was able to experience. I was able to play my first game of 6th edition 40k. It was a chance to go over many of the rules changes. An 1000 pt matchup with Erik from Utah, this game was a decent opportunity to try out the premeasure change, as well as many of the shooting differences. I can see that there will be many more games required to really put the game through its paces. Me and my family also travelled to the East coast for a family wedding, and while there, used it as an opportunity to visit the nation's capital. It was amazing to see the monuments and museums, and I was able to visit my first GW Battle Bunker in the Baltimore area. It was cool to see so much play space dedicated to the game, as well as many of the display models and armies in the store. On the hobby side, not much has gotten done with so much travel and real life activity, but I have a very clear idea of where I would like to go with minitaures. I will continue to make space for new things and update the stuff I want to keep to make armies I am really proud of.
